Description
Looking to stay in an active fire lookout- a room with a view? Monument Peak Lookout is on the top of a mountain and has a spectacular view of the Little Belt Mountains. It was built in 1936 by the CCC and has been removed from its original tower and restored for the public. The last 4 miles of road access are rough and a high clearance vehicle is recommended. Snowmobiles, cross-country skis or snowshoes are required for access during most of the winter. There are good small and big game hunting opportunities in this area.
