Description
Speegleville Park is located at Waco Lake. Waco Lake is located in McLennan County and is entirely within the city limits of Waco, Texas. Speegleville Park offers various types of recreation such as boating, swimming, fishing, camping, and bird watching. The park is within walking distance of Waco Marina and the Speegleville Boat Ramp. Speegleville Park offers an opportunity for the entire family to enjoy some good, clean, outdoor recreation.
Directions
Speegleville Park is located on the west shore of the lake. From IH 35, take Hwy 6 north across the bridge (over Waco Lake) and take immediate Speegleville exit, right, proceed past Twin Bridges Park about 3/4 mile down to Overflow Rd. Turn right on Overflow Rd., and continue to entrace of Speegleville Park.
Description
Park open year round from January 1st to December 31st. Flooding or other disasters could temporarily close down the park. Twin Bridges Group Shelter is a day use facility that can be reserved year round. The rental fee is $150.00 per day between the hours of 6:00am to 10:00pm. The Shelters accommodates up to 225 guests. The Facility includes a 6ft Barbecue Grill, volleyball court, horse shoe pins, and is located within a close proximity to bathrooms and a swimming beach. Parking is only allowed in designated areas. All Rules and Regulations Governing Public Use of Corps of Engineers Water Resources Development Projects apply.
Directions
The shelter is located on the West Shore of the Lake within the Twin Bridges Park. From I-35 take Hwy 6 North for about 6 miles. After crossing the lake take the first exit to the right and continue to the gate house.
