Blackhaw Viburnum, viburnum prunifolium, is an attractive, slow-growing, rounded shrub or small tree with glossy dark green foliage that turns to a shiny red in fall. It displays clusters of white flowers in May, followed by small, pink, changing to black, edible berries. It requires full sun to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils of average fertility in full sun.
