The Tulip 'Herman Emmink', 'Tulipa double late', a fall planted bulb, is a new variety this year. The stunning petals are flame orange with a darker tint at the bottom of the petal. These tulips appear late in the Tulip season on sturdy, relatively short stems. They are truly splendid! ,These tulips bloom in late spring for a 3 week period.For the best effects, plant the bulbs in clusters of 5 to 15 bulbs of one variety, or scatter clusters throughout the garden or flower border. Tulips do best in well-drained soil. It is advisable not to plant tulips in the same location in the garden year after year. If possible, plant in a somewhat sheltered location. Tulips are excellent for mass planting, rock gardens, containers, cut flowers, and borders.
