The Tulip 'Mixed Colors', 'Tulipa double early', is a fall planted bulb. The tender beauty of this elegant soft colored varieties is unsurpassed. The gracefully ruffled petals show varying delicate shades of color. This mixed color combination of flowers will look like a beautiful mixed bouquet of peonies. It is one of our best selling Tulips and not without reason. Its color is irresistible and it is excellent for planting in beds and borders. Combine them with early daffodils and hyacinths for a wonderful welcome to spring. These tulips bloom in early spring for a 3 week period.For the best effects, plant the bulbs in clusters of 5 to 15 bulbs of one variety, or scatter clusters throughout the garden or flower border. Tulips do best in well-drained soil. It is advisable not to plant tulips in the same location in the garden year after year. If possible, plant in a somewhat sheltered location. Tulips are excellent for mass planting, rock gardens, containers and borders.
