From Albuquerque drive east on I-40 approximately 7 miles to exit 175. Proceed north on Highway 14, 7 miles to Highway 536. Go west on Hwy 536 1.25 miles to Cienega Picnic Ground. Proceed approximately 1/2 mile to group site. Altitude 7500'; wood & charcoal not available; adjacent to Cienega Nature Trail. Within 1/4 mile of equestrian parking area; Key to locked gate is kept at the Sandia Ranger District office in Tijeras, NM. There is a $10.00 refundable key deposit that is due at the time of pick up. The gate to your site should be locked at all times while you are there.
