Northfield Brook Lake is located in a scenic area adjacent to the highly industrialized Naugatuck Valley, a region where public recreation is at a premium. The importance of the 208 acres of public land is evident on a warm Summer weekend when people gather at the park to enjoy hiking, picnicing. swimming and other outdoor activities. Each year the 8 acre lake is stocked with trout by the Conneticut Department of Environmental Protection. Warm water fish. including bass, are naturally found in the lake.

Northfield Lake is located in Thomaston, Connecticut, easily accessible from Route 8. Take Route 8 North to exit 38, take a left on South Main Street, at the third traffic light take a left onto Route 254, 2 miles north. From Route 8 South Take exit 38, take a right on South Main, next traffic light take a left onto Route 254, 2 miles north.
