Due to reconstruction, this park is closed for the part of the 2008 season. Campground open prior to and after reservation dates on a first come basis as weather permits. Located in central Idaho, approximately 6 miles south of Stanley, near Redfish Lake. Restrooms are provided. Firewood is sold at the site. Campground is located in an alpine mountain environment with average summer temperatures of 78 degrees high, and 40 degrees low. Popular events include an Arts and Crafts Fair in July, Wagon Days in September, and fireman's ball, Salmon Festival, & Quilt Fair.
Directions
Take State Highway 75, from Stanley, Idaho, 6 miles south. Go west on Forest Road 214 for approximately 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Forest Route 213, drive a short distance and turn at Point Campground entrance.

Located along the sandy shoreline of Alturas Lake. Restrooms provided. Picnic Area is situated in an alpine environment. Average summer temperatures are 78 degrees high, and 40 degrees low. Popular activities are the Arts and Crafts Fair in July, Wagon Days in September, and the Salmon Festival, Fireman's Ball and Quilt Fair. If area is not reserved it is open to first come first served basis. A charge of $3.00 per vehicle for a day use parking fee will be in effect for 2006 and there-after.

Located 122 miles north of Twin Falls, Idaho, and 22 miles South of Stanley, Idaho. Alturas Picnic Area is 2.6 miles west of State Highway 75 on Forest Road 205.
