from the Vines family.
Silverlace Vine, Polygonum Auberti, is a fast growing deciduous to semi-evergreen vine. The silver lace vine climbs by twining its stems around a supporting structure. It produces dense foliage of heart-shaped, bright-green leaves, 1½ to 2 inches long. The clusters of tiny greenish white flowers are fragrant and bloom late, beginning in the sweltering days of late August and early September, a time when most plants are finished for the season. The vine is hardy and useful where a fast-growing screen is needed, on a trellis, lattice, or fence. Prefers well-drained, sandy soil but tolerates poor soil. Plant in full sun or shade. Don't plant it where it can intermingle with other plants - it will take them over. Less invasive in colder climates.
