Description
Located in a Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest area near Monarch Pass. Elevation 10,500 feet. Some campsites are located near south fork Arkansas Creek. Restrooms are provided. No showers. The nearest services are in Poncha Springs or Salida. Parking is restricted to designated areas only. Popular activities in the area include hiking the Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide Trail, and 4-wheel driving. Firewood is for sale at the site.

From Poncha Springs travel west on Highway 50 for about 15 miles, then south on County Road 231 to the Monarch Park Campground.
Description
Group campground is located near the family campground and adjacent to a creek which flows into a nearby pond. Volleyball, softball, and horseshoe pit is available. Visitors must bring their own equipment. Parking is provided for 24 vehicles. Firewood is available for sale by camp host located at the family campground.

From Poncha Springs, CO take US Hwy 50 west 6 miles then right on County Road 240 4 miles to campground.
