How Much RTF Seed Should I Order? If you are seeding a new lawn with the RTF seed we recommend that you use 6 to 8 lbs of seed per 1000 square feet. If you are doing an over-seeding of an existing lawn, we recommend that you use 3 to 4 lbs of seed per 1000 square feet. RTF Seed is sold by the bag in 5, 10 & 25 lb bags.
