The roots of Ranunculus acris are hairy, fibrous, occasionally rhizomatous. Long stemmed leaves are basal, palmately lobed, mid-green, toothed, ovate, to 3 inches in length.
Flowers of Flore Peno are in panicles, saucer-shaped, yellow, petals numerous, up to 1 inch wide. Plant grows to 8 to 36 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Ranunculus are great for borders, beds, container plants, and cut flowers. They begin to bloom in early summer and go for weeks and prefer moist but well drained soil.
