This is a day use shelter to be used for large groups. No overnight camping is available at the site.
Directions
From the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 182 in Park Falls, drive east on Highway 182, 13 miles to Forest Road 144. Turn right (south) and continue on Forest Road 144 for 1 mile to Forest Road 1903. Turn left (east) on Forest Road 1903 and drive 2 miles to the Newman Lake Recreation Area.

This is a day use pavilion to be used for large groups. Overnight camping is also available at the Smith Rapids Campground, located at this same facility.

From the intersection of Highways 13 and 70 in Fifield, drive 12.5 miles east on Highway 70 to Forest Road 148. Turn left (north) and continue on Forest Road 148, 1.8 miles to the Smith Rapids Campground entrance.
