The Hyacinth 'Ostara', 'Hyacinthus orientalis', a fall planted bulb, is violet blue with light purple blue flowers. One of the most proofed Hyacinths in the industry, and they are ideal for beds and borders. It is an excellent variety for vibrant color in your garden. Grow them outdoors or indoors for their graceful shape, long-lasting blooms and sweet scent. For the best effects, plant the bulbs in clusters of 5 to 15 bulbs of one variety, or scatter clusters throughout the garden or flower border. Wear gloves to prevent skin irritation. These plants are deer, squirrel and rabbit resistant.
