Description
The Obey River Campground and Day Use Area is located on Dale Hollow Lake about 3 miles south of Byrdstown, TN, West of the Obey River Bridge off of Hwy 111. Dale Hollow Lake is known for its breathtaking forested hillsides and pristine, crystal clear waters. The campground has 132 sites. Water and/or electric hook-ups are available. Additional amenities include hot showers, playgrounds, two picnic shelters, a dump station, laundry facilities, a boat launch, and a public telephone. The Obey River Day Use hosts the largest and most popular sand swimming beach on the lake. A full-service public marina is nearby. Homes associated with two famous Tennesseans are found within a short drive. The Cordell Hull birthplace and memorial is near Brydstown, TN. Hull, a great statesman, is most remembered as a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and as the Father of the United Nations. The Sergeant York Homeplace, home of the World War I hero who won the Medal of Honor, is located near Pall Mall, TN.

Directions
From Livingston, TN take Hwy 111 northeast 15 miles and follow signs to the campground. From Byrdstown, TN take Hwy 111 south 3 miles. Park is located West of the Obey River Bridge off of Hwy 111 It is recommended that you DO NOT use MAPQUEST for directions.
