The Geranium Midnight Reiter, 'Pelargonium', has rich, true blue flowers that bloom from June till August. With its beautiful dark purple foliage, it has a plant width of 12χ and a height of 6χ. (If grounded in shade, the foliage turns green with purple highlights.) ΅Midnight Reiter¦ needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant. A great plant for a beginner gardener.
