Description
Campground is located within a forested setting. Campsites are adjacent (within a few feet) to Roaring River. When you reserve this site, you are reserving all five camp sites within the campground. All sites have picnic tables, firerings, and parking spurs. There is additional parking for large RVs in a large parking area. Garbage service is provided. Drinking water is not available, please bring your own drinking water.

From Eugene, Oregon, take I-105 east to McKenzie Highway 126 to Milepost 45. Turn South on Forest Service Road 19 and travel for 22 miles to campground.
Description
Cabins at the Fish Lake Remount Depot are rustic, historical wood structures. The Hall House (3 room, 1 bedroom) and Commissary (2 room, 1 bedroom) cabins were built in 1924. These are No smoking cabins. The use of candles, gas lanterns, and portable cook stoves will NOT be permitted. A lighting system is supplied by solar power. Reservations are only available in Winter through early Spring. During the remainder of the year, this is an active Forest Service Depot, used by the Forest Animal Packer, fire, recreation, and engineering crews.
Directions
From Salem, take Highway 20 east through Sweet Home. Approximately 45 miles east of Sweet Home, Lava Lake Sno-Park will be on the north side of the highway. From Eugene, take Highway 126 east to Highway 20 (approximately 70 miles). At the intersection, turn left (west) and drive about a 1/4 mile. You will see Lava Lake Sno-Park on the north side of the highway. From Bend, take Highway 20 towards Sweet Home. Traveling west, 1/4 mile past the intersection of Highways 20 and 126, Lava Lake Sno-Park will be on the north side of the highway. You must park your vehicle(s) at Lava Lake Sno-Park. From Lava Lake Sno- Park, cross the highway and follow the blue diamond trail markers. You may hike, cross-country ski, or snowshoe (approximately 3/4 mile) to the cabin.
