Description
Camp 9, a year-round facility, rests on the shores of Lake Isabella, a high desert reservoir (elevation 2,600 feet). In the spring and early summer, the breeze can come up in the afternoons, but the mornings are quiet and calm. Fall and winter are perhaps the most beautiful time of the year with temperatures ranging from the 60s in the day to low 40s at night. Camp 9 is popular with RVs and there is lots of parking available to accommodate trailers and motorized watercraft. Dump station fee is $10 per use (there is NO free dumping! ie: free dumping with 4 or more days reserved). For watercraft a courtesy dock for launching located within the day use portion of the site. Shade is limited so plan on bringing protection against the sun. Camp 9 offers over 100 single campsites on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of $17 per night. In addition, there are 11 group sites available under the reservation system. Group Sites 1 and 2 ($160 per night) offer shade shelters, shade trees, 2 picnic tables, campfire rings, potable drinking water, portable toilets, and a paved circular parking area with a locked gate for security. Group Sites 3-5 ($75 per night) - 2 picnic tables, portable toilets, rock camp fire rings, potable drinking water, and a paved circular parking area with a locked gate for security. Group Sites 6 and 7 ($90 per night) are located in Loop C. These sites offer 2 picnic tables, shade trees, portable toilets, potable drinking water, rock camp fire rings, and paved parking. Group Sites 8 through 11 ($90 per night) are located in Loop D. These sites offer 2 picnic tables, shade trees, portable toilets, potable drinking water, rock camp fire rings and paved parking.
