The Frank H. McClung Museum is an important component of the University of Tennessee. The museum?s permanent exhibits include: archaeology and the native peoples of Tennessee, ancient Egypt, traditional decorative arts and decorated ethnographic objects, the geology and fossil history of Tennessee, the emergence of humans with a focus on "Lucy" and other early hominid fossils, and the biology and human use of freshwater mussels. There are also changing exhibits focusing on the Civil War in Knoxville, turn of the century medical practices in East Tennessee, and pitchers from the Hensley Pitcher Collection.

Whitebreast Campground is located on Lake Red Rock, Iowa's largest lake, just 10 minutes from Pella, known for its Dutch heritage, and 15 minutes from Knoxville, Sprintcar Capital of the World. Whitebreast offers shoreline fishing, bird-watching, and interpretive programs on weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day and easy access to Whitebreast Beach. White pelicans migrate through our lake area every spring and fall, and large numbers of bald eagles are observed during winter months (Nov.-Mar). Large numbers of waterfowl migrate through the lake every spring and fall. Hardwood forest, prairie and open grass areas give way to a view of the lake from several locations throughout park. It is only an hour's drive to Des Moines, Iowa's capital, which has shopping malls, museums, zoo and many other attractions.
