Description
Hunters Spring provides a winter opportunity to stay in the Little Belt Mountains of central Montana and experience solitude and all the fun of winter recreation, whether motorized or non-motorized. Access is by snowmobile to this two story cabin. There is lots of room for up to 8 people with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, and living room. This is really a frame house that is used most of the year by Forester Service employees working on the Lewis and Clark National Forest.
Directions
From Harlowton go west 32 miles on U.S. Highway 12 to Forest Road 274 (Spring Creek Road). Take Forest Road 274 to mile marker 7 (parking area) and park your vehicle.. Proceed from parking area on Forest Road 274 another 6 miles by snowmobile or crosscountry skiis past Whitetail Camp to Forest Road 6429. Turn right and go 1/2 mile on Forest Road 6429 to Hunters Spring Guard Station.
