From Atlanta, Georgia:
Take Interstate 85 north to the South Carolina state line. The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway begins at Exit 1, just after the welcome center. From Charlotte, North Carolina:
Take Interstate 85 south to South Carolina Exit 92. The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway begins at Exit 92, traveling north and then west.
