The Hosta Fire and Ice, 'Hosta fortunei', has heart shaped leaves with white centers and dark green margins. The lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta¦s are not known for their flowers. With a plant height of 20χ and a spread of 30χ, Hosta¦s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ΅Fire and Ice¦ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
