from the Bushes and Shrubs family.
The False Spirea, 'Sorbaria sorbifolia', also known as Ural False Spirea, produces sprays of beautiful white flowers in late spring and early summer. Ural false spirea is a coarse, suckering, deciduous shrub. The leaves are deep green and quite attractive. Remove root suckers promptly to avoid unwanted spread. Prune in late winter to early spring. The False Spirea may be cut close to the ground to rejuvenate new growth. Use this plant for naturalizing in areas where it can be allowed to spread. Mass for erosion control on banks and slopes. Also useful in screens or shrub borders.
