Description
In the gentle slopes of South Central Kentucky, the Dog Creek Campground on Nolin Lake has great appeal to the naturalist or those who just want to get away from it all. The entire campground has easy access to the shoreline. There is a swimming area located within the campground and a boat launching ramp and playground adjacent to the campground. The campground offers 70 campsites, 24 with electric and water hookup. Other amenities include a dump station, pit restrooms, playground, boat ramp, and watchable wildlife area. No shower facilities located at this site. Other area attractions include Mammoth Cave National Park, Wax Marina, Nolin Lake State Park, golf courses, and riding stables.
Directions
From Louisville take I-65 S to exit 75 at Upton; take Hwy 224 west 9 mi.to Millerstown, turn left on Hwy 479 . Go 8 mi to Hwy 88, turn left on Hwy 88 and go 2.1 mi and turn right on Hwy 1015, then 1.1 mi to campground entrance (signs posted).
