Dewayne Hayes Campground is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Dewayne Hayes Campground has 100 sites with electric and water hookups and 10 primitive sites. DeWayne Hayes is located immediately next to Columbus Lake on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. The campground provides convenient access to the waterway. There is ample opportunity for one to go fishing, boating, or just spend the day sightseeing along the banks of the river. If one is interested in antique stores, historic sights, and such just visit Columbus, Mississippi next door. From Columbus (MS): take US 45 north to the junction with US 373/50W. Turn left and follow US 373 for 1 1/2 miles to the junction with Stinson Creek Road. Travel 2 miles to Barton's Ferry Road and turn left. The entrance to the park is about a 1/2 mile. From Tupelo (MS): take US 45 south to the junction of US 373/50W. Turn right and follow US 373 for 1 1/2 miles to the junction of Stinson Creek Road. Travel 2 miles to Barton's Ferry Road and turn left. The entrance to the park is about a 1/2 mile.
