BOLAN MOUNTAIN LOOKOUT (OR)
Description
Bolan Mountain Lookout is a 14 ft. x 14 ft. 1953 L4 style cabin with a catwalk located at ground level on top of Bolan Mountain. The Lookout offers a primitive type camping experience. There is no water available at the lookout. Parking is available just below the lookout. There are approximately 35-40 steps to climb before reaching the lookout.

Directions
From Cave Junction travel south on Hwy 199 6.4 miles to Happy Camp Road. Turn left and travel 17.3 miles on Forest Road 48/Happy Camp road to the junction with road 4812. Turn left and travel 4.1 miles to the junction of 4812-040, the road to Bolan Lake Campground. Turn left again and travel 1.1 miles to road 535. Turn right and travel 1.6 miles to the lookout. Road 535 is gated.
