Description
Canadian Campground is located at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, 2-? miles from the town of Canton. Canton Lake plays host to a large number of campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen and hunters every year. It is one of the few places that offer these types of recreational opportunities in western Oklahoma. Its central location, scenic setting, and excellent facilities make the park very popular with visitors to the area. Visitor attractions at Canadian include 2 boat ramps, a group picnic shelter, a large picnic area, a trailer dump station, 3 shower houses, electric hookups, and 2 group campsites. Canton Lake is known for its fishing opportunities, especially walleye fishing. The Canton Lake "Walleye Rodeo" is held each May and draws thousands of visitors to the area.
Directions
From the town of Canton, OK: Go 1/2 mile west on Hwy 51, turn north on Hwy 58A. Travel for 2 miles, taking the left fork and head west where the highway joins a paved county road. Keep traveling west for about 1/4 mile, then travel north about 1/8 mile to the campground entrance.

Canton Lake plays host to a large number of campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen, and hunters every year. It is one of the few places that offers these types of recreational opportunities in western Oklahoma. Canton Lake is known for its fishing opportunities, especially walleye fishing. The Canton Lake Walleye Rodeo Fishing Tournament is held each May and draws thousands of visitors to the area. Fairview is a non-electric group camp that is popular for family reunions, Scouting campouts, and for other groups that are looking for an isolated area. In addition to the camp being in a remote location, other attractions include a large picnic shelter, enough room for 4 RV's and several tents, and a lockable gate for which the permit holder has a key.
Directions
From the Town of Canton: Go a ? mile west on Hwy 51, turn north Hwy 58A. Go 2 miles taking the left fork where the highway Y's and continue on for 0.2 mile, then turn right. Follow signs to the Canadian Campground entrance. After getting the key, return back to the "Y" intersection and go north across the dam on Hwy 58A. Where the road forks, continue to the right on 58A until it intersects with Hwy 58. Turn left on Hwy 58 to Longdale. Continue 1 mile north turning west on the secondary road. Continue west for 3 miles to the camping area.
