Pacific Beautys prefer full sun locations. They are very adaptive to soils types, as long as they are in well drained soils. The soils should be kept moist but not soggy. Plant in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked, and in warm climates plant in late summer or early fall for winter/spring bloom. The Calendula is a long lasting cut flower and looks great planted in masses, such as in borders, parking strips and containers.
