Salmon Creek Campground is located in the North Yuba River area. This 31 single family site campground stretches along Salmon Creek with paved roads and parking spurs. Some shade by lodge pole pine and cedar trees can be found through out the campground. Some of the many activities in this area include fishing, hiking, and hunting when in season. From Sierraville go south on HWY 49 18 miles to Bassetts. Turn right, go two miels campground located left side of HWY.
Description
Philpott Park has a day use area, group picnic shelter, and group camp area. An overlook at Philpott Park provides visitors a spectacular view of Philpott Lake and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park facilities include a picnic shelter, picnic tables, a boat ramp, hiking trail and a group camp area. The Powerhouse, Dam and Visitor Assistance Center are located in the park. This area can be used outside of the reservation season (Nov thru March) at no charge. The Visitor Assistance Center is open to the public Monday through Friday 8: 00am to 4:00pm. From April 1 through October 31, the Visitor Assistance Center is also open Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 9:00AM to 5:00 PM.

From Highway 220 take the Bassett, VA exit onto State Highway 57 West, stay on State Highway 57 West for approximately 6 miles to Philpott Dam Road (look for Philpott Dam brown directional sign) turn right, go one mile to the Philpott Park entrance.
